As promised...
Here is my review of the Experimental Dutch Ration.
It has been recently (2008) tested by the Dutch Marines on exercise in Norway.
I could not find much information about it. Yet it seems like the Dutch DoD is testing a new kind of ration system, not only for the Marines. This experimental ration is called “Modulair Rantsoen” (= Modular Ration). It consists of a basic ration and additions/modules that can be added when conditions ask for it.
On the official sheets (the brown papers) are no numbers or other official markings, which indicates it is experimental.
The contents have the end of 2007 as production dates.

MODULAIR RANTSOEN:

1. BASISMODULE
The basis module is the “Basismodule”. It is in a plastic bag and consists of the “Gripzak dranken” (=grip bag drinks) and the “Gripzak Snackpack” (= grip bag snack pack).

1x chocolat bar
1x paper towels
1x safety matches
1x chewing gum sugar free

2. MODULE MAALTIJD (=module meal)
1x soup powder
2x lightweight meal 80 grams, OR 2x pouches ‘wet’ 300 grams, OR 2x cans 300 grams, OR combinations.
[In this particular ration two lightweight meals were packed.]

3. MODULE AANVULLING ENERGIE (=module additional energie)

Hi Guys,
Can somebody post some pics and translations of the contents for the ROEK ration. I am having a bit of difficulty trying to figure out which one is which on this thread.
The translations I need are Menu's 2,3,4. Thanks

That's right. Yu're one lucky man. getting a few of those.

So far there are two 'versions': the hot climate add. pack and the cold climate add. pack. They even distinct in level of fysique activity. They are quite good (tonnes of food in them) The weight of a case of 8 rations cold climate is 21 Kg / 46 Lbs! A case of 8 ROEK rations weighs 15 Kg.
I'll get some pictures and will post them. Good thing is there are some new flavours (main courses) around in the rat's.

Cheers Nawt.

Here's a picture from the hot/cold climate ration cases.

They actually contain 8 rations, and an additional ration pack for either hot (warm klimaat) or cold climate (koud klimaat)conditions.
the 'inspanningsniveau' refers to the 'fhysical level of activity'.
