Case of Rafco RCWs, Date Packed 9179 (June 1989)

Hi guys,

yesterday I got a nearly full case of Rafco RCWs, Date Packed 9179 (June 1989), which I bought at ebay.com for about 66 USD . Only one half ration (6B) is missing. I guess it has to be one of the earliest RCW cases ever packed, referring to NATICK PAM 30-25 3rd edition (see also topic viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1442&p=11654&hilit= ... ons#p11654 ).Here it is stated:

“This ration (RCW) was accepted for Marine Corps procurement under …. It was available for troop issue in July 1989.”

Here are the menus:

Ration No. 1 B: Chicken Stew, Bars/Slices

Ration No. 2 B: Beef Stew, Bars/Slices

Ration No. 3 B: Escalloped Pot W/Pork, Bars/Slices (in menu list in NATICK PAM it is Chili Con Carne )

Ration No. 4 B: Chicken A La King, Bars/Slices

Ration No. 5 B: Chicken & Rice, Bars/Slices

Ration No. 6 B: is missing, but referring to NATICK PAM 30-25 3rd edition it is Spaghetti W/Meat Sauce, Bars/Slices

btw the spaghetti is called vermecelli with meat sauce in those
rafco rcws.

Shipping for the rations first was 32 USD , but as I asked for the case total shipping raised 55 USD . But otherwise I was in luck, I had to pay no customs duty !

I’m a little bit confused : For what reason the right edge of all photos is cut

It must have something to do with the new template/design of the forums. The picture displays ok for me if I expand my window to make it wide enough - but when my window is narrow, I don't get a scroll bar to scroll over to see the rest of the picture.

There might be an issue with the CSS file used to define the layout of the screen but I'm not a big CSS designer so it might take me a while to figure out what needs to get changed.
