I've tried MRE, Brit 24's and MRE's.
I don't really have a favorite,
I've only tried the EPA type II and think the Cevapcicci is a great meal, the goulash with potatoes is another nice meal, I haven't tried type I or III or the light rations. (Just need money to buy them)
I've tried a few MRE's but not all of them, I think the best thing thing in an MRE is the pound cake and the Cherry and blueberry cobler (that is amazing I would love another).
I've tried all the british rations A-G (not the halal/vegi/patrol) as They don't come up that often for sale. Though I have had the chicken Balti (curry) from the patrol, it was in a ration pack I bought instead of then Chicken and dumplings, a nice surprise.

if I could turn back time:
absolute favorite and without competition : C-Ration
for the present:
.1 RCIR of the french Army (just the nougat/fruit bars are horrible)
2. MRE
3. EPA (I had to much of them in my active time in the army and also in the present)
4. UK 24h ration (the most main menus are not good,I can not belive that two users vote for Brit-ration
I did not have the chance to test other countries ration.
As housil wrote, the current canadian rations are hard to get over here.
I just tried the old canadian daily ration they had at their training terms in Hohenfels a long time ago.
This daily ration was a small white cardboard box with :
one cheese/turkey/ham/tuna sandwich,
apple/orange/tomato juice ( small can, 0,2 l)
a very great pudding caramel/vanilla/chocolate from "Del Monte"in a can.
an apple/pear/or Orange
chocolate/fruit bar
accessory Packet with differnt things like spoon,fork,knife,mustard,ketchup,salt,sugar...)
I`ve never seen any military ration of the canadian army (similar C-ration) in the 80s, those white cardboard box looked very "canadian" commercial.
regards

If I had my choice of rations for a whole day, I'd have one MRE and then either a British or German ration. The British and German rations have great stuff for breakfast. The MRE would make either a good lunch or dinner and the rest of the stuff from the British/German ration could round out the meal for the day.
This way, I'd have some food I'm familiar with and then some newer, more interesting food to keep the meals from getting boring.

Well,
I voted for RCIR's first, I love the menu's the French have. Though I admit I've only had three meals. MRE's would be second since I've had soooooo many in my career but you can always count on the quantity of food in them. I really like the EPa's again even though I've had one: it was pretty damn good. I am in wonder why a Spanish ration didn't make it on the list? That would have been a strong contender for first place.
