Funny video, jfko6. My wife and I were watching it (she's an eBay seller) and she was just shaking her head the whole time about how that seller could be so stupid.
(For those who didn't watch the video, a woman and her daughter paid $467 for two cell phones on eBay. The seller sent her a *picture* of two cell phones and said that's what was specified in the auction. Judge Judy ruled in favor of the two women and awarded them $5000.)
The only downside to that case is that I did some googling and it looks like the show actually pays all the damages awarded - plus $100/day of taping plus a hotel room for the plaintiffs and defendants.
So the only thing the eBay seller/scammer really lost was some embarassment of having to stand there and be rediculed by Judge Judy.
