BCB Rations- Are they really UK Issue?

Post by Hardtack »

BCB make alot of different rations. Some online dealers say they are issued to British troops. Some examples are :
Patrol Ration Pack
Combat Energy Gel Sachet
Emergency Order Belt Ration (24 Hour)
Glucose Fruit Sweet Ration
Emergency Ration Pack
And some other entree type meals.

I'd like to try some but shipping is expensive to here in the US. I'm hoping Best Glide will start to carry them. They'll probably need FDA approval though. http://www.bestglide.com/

Bestglide used to carry the Emergency ration pack but stopped selling them due to import restrictions on the bullion cube. They are great little kits to have on hand if you can find some.

That combat energy gel looks interesting. I had something similar way long ago but it seems like something like that would make an interesting addition to the First Strike Rations.

Yeah,
That combat gel kind of reminds me of the civilian stuff like "Carb Bomb" or " Gu Gel". It's stuff in the sports section of most supermarkets and outdoor places carry like REI. Cyclists use it a lot when competing. The flavours are really good, just the prices are staggering. :x
It's good to have if you need a quick fix of energy.

I would say that the rations made by BCB are NOT combat issue.........

Also looks like the Hypostop stuff that some St John Ambulance units carry in case of diabetic emergency.
