Well, it's official: I am now hooked on MREs. This morning, I had a Menu #10 (Meatballs in Marinara) for breakfast and later, being low on groceries and not knowing what to make for dinner, I opened up a Menu #12 (Cheese Tortellini). My breakfast was so filling, I had to save the cinnamon scone and M & Ms for later! As the aftenoon wore on, feeling somewhat "peckish", I polished off both (washed down with nice a cup of King Cole orange pekoe tea: the perfect match for the scone!)
If I had to list my favorite items in the meals, I would have to pick both the cinnamon scone and the crackers; the scone is so moist and delicious, it literally melts in your mouth, and the cracker is really tasty (especially with the strawberry and apple jelly spreads which are to die for). Another thing that amazes me about the crackers is that they hold together so well and aren't crumbly like your average run of the mill cracker.

Re: Hooked on MREs!
Yes, Topside, I am Canadian (I live in Southeast New Brunswick, but I'm originally from Québec). I bought my MREs from an American company called "MRE Depot." With shipping, UPS Brokerage Fees and import taxes, it cost me $178.58 CDN (Ouch!). But as KMan mentioned in his review, the Menu Cs are indeed "loaded with food", but the extras are mostly snack items with a high calorie content (snack crackers, pretzels, M & Ms, etc). OK if you're on a hiking trip, but a bit hard on the wastline if you're just sitting around the house !
As for the Meal Kit Supply product, I too placed an order with them last Friday. I was going to wait till I finished off my current batch of MREs, but I didn't want to lose out on the $25.00 discount. Besides, I'm planning a couple of camping trips in the coming months , so they certainly won't go to waste (not with a 3 year shelf life...
