The show is "The Secret Life of Military Food." There is no indication that MREs will be directly addressed, but there should be something of interest.

Darn...missed it. I'll have to check for re-runs.

I caught the last 15 minutes of the show..
To me it seemed like just a teaser..
I really wanted to know more information.
It just showed a few MRE's and a few soldiers eating them.
It also showed how the Army trains the cooks.
Also featured was the MFK Mobile Field Kitchen..
It was cool..

I wished the show was about 1 hour long. It would have had time to cover more things.
It touched upon the military history about how rations were created to the present day stuff. Nothing in the show about FSR..

They did feature a short segment about the names soldiers name the foods..

Overall, I wish there was more information. But for the average citizen it made sense but to the likes of this board..it was just a teaser.

I don't remember if anyone mentioned it here, but Top Chef did an MRE competition, they had to use MRE components to make a better meal. It wasn't too bad.

You know BigMark, that's a great idea! Too bad we couldn't get a sponsor and hold a yearly "MREInfo's Best MRE Cookery Competition" on a national level --- sort of like those "chuck wagon" cooking competitions.
