The British soldiers are expected to carry a 'tommy-cooker/Esbit stove get-up, in their kit, just like the Germans, whom, by the way, carry their own steel knife/fork/spoon set. It's no secret, EPa's have no plastic spoon/whatever.

P.S. Americans don't say 'Kit'. We say 'Gear'.

So I've had the all day breakfast and it was awesome.. The gas it gave me after was other worldly. Your mileage may vary but if you don't want get voted off the life raft you might want to try it to see how it treats you.

Yes, mess-kit, is correct, for that item only. Everything else is gear, not kit. My bad.
