Anyone want some Ham Slices entrees?

Post by kman » Sat Oct 11, 2008 6:08 pm

I just saw this auction on eBay:

MRE's Ham Slices Case of 72/4oz
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0276097157

The seller doesn't disclose how old they are but you know they have to be from the mid-1990s.

$22.00 for shipping..
Maybe I've been out of the game for a while but isn't that a bit high?

$22 isn't that bad considering that it's 72 entrees. The box probably weights around 26 pounds.

Do you know when they print the four digit PD on it? I can´t see any on them.
It should be right at production, isn´t it?!

I'm trying to remember back to when I last opened a really old MRE. I can recall seeing the four digit datecodes on entree boxes going back to 1997 but I just don't recall any from earlier.

At the very least, the case the entrees come in should have a date.
