I have been lurking for the last month or so but not contributing, mostly because work is busy and the only days off I have had have been when it is raining.
Digging through my pile I found some leftovers that I thought I would try out and post.
These first are the last pieces I have from a dozen MRE's I picked up awhile ago.
After a long day of towing out bogged tractors, I felt like a quick meal This is not a great photo but this is one of the original packs with leftover accessories. Here is what I mean about bogged tractors

Left overs part two.
A couple of weeks ago I had a day off with sun, so I grabbed some leftover RCIR components and headed off to a spot I had wanted to explore for a while. The place is called Galore nature reserve. What it is is a large rough hill that no one could grow anything on (I am in a large farming area), that was turned into a beautiful reserve. It was nice to actually see a real hill too, its very flat around here. After an hours drive this was my first view Right at the top, there are wood BBQ's, gas BBQ's, picnic area's walks and caves. I am sure there is much more, but sadly just as I sat down to eat my boss called to tell me day off canceled and to come back to load a truck

My interrupted lunch Its hard to keep saying how good RCIR mains are, but this one ranked right up in the top 3 I have tried. one of the best ever. Good pieces of meat, veges and fantastic flavour, I just wish I had more time to enjoy it.
I will be back to Galore soon and will bring a different ration and turn off my phone this time
