Muesli / Leek & Potato Soup / Chicken in Yellow Curry & Rice
Big thanks to steve1989 for sending me this UK ration. Final review!
See Part 1 for an overview of the ration as a whole, as well as a list of complete contents.
Part 3 - Lunch
The last meal of the three was composed of:
- Leek & Potato Soup
- Ginger Crunch Biscuit
- Peanut Butter
- Cookies & Cream Cereal Bar
- Blackcurrant Flavoured Drink Powder
- Caramel Flavoured Hot Chocolate Drink Powder
- V6 White Gum
What can I tell you about the potato soup? It was rich and creamy, with just the right level of saltiness. There were ample leeks, and potato chunks galore. The portion was pretty large and overall it was very filling.
The cookies and cream cereal bar was a fantastic snack. Chocolate cookie chunks and cream flavoring that wasn't spoiled so it was very enjoyable. I'd eaten a Canadian cookies and cream bar not too long ago that had spoiled, but that was a white chocolate bar.
The Ginger Crunch Biscuit had a texture like a digestive, with noticeable ginger taste (and pieces). I paired it with the peanut butter and it was a perfect match. By the way... that peanut butter? Made in the USA!

I hadn't had Blackcurrant juice before, but I found it to be neat. It was tart but sweet. The other beverage I had this time was the caramel hot chocolate. It unfortunately tasted a little burnt, perhaps because I used boiling water? It was still very good overall, albeit a little strange.
Last but not least - finished it off with the last of the gum. I have a few components left (Ty-phoo tea, Nescafe coffee, apple energy drink) that I'll add to the random bits and pieces I use day to day and they'll get consumed some day soon for sure. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the three part review!
