Damn...a Russian claymore. What's even more interesting is that it says "INERT" in English.

Wow...I think if I opened up that package and didn't see "inert" fast enough, I'd have to change my pants in a hurry. :-)

you place the claymore against the erea you want to protect
(the black and white against enemy) and add a electric fuse
the same type as for c4 and dynamite, on top of the claymore
there is a hole for the fuse there.
then rol out electric cord as long away you need to be ad ignite
it with electric power, like 9v or higher battery and kablam!!!!
a lot of steel balls/marbeles get thrown against the enemy
in top speed.
this claymore looks almost the same as the us mine used
in the us army in vietnam.
im sure some of the us army vets on the mre info
can tell more about the claymores.

ahhh ok, i have seen images of it before, but i never knew exactly
how it works and what it gets used for, i only knew that it is "something".....
sounds like- someone who is close enough when it shoots out the
steel-marbles will get really hurt alot or could possible die from it,
thats really weird...

Don't know how the Soviet versions work, but the US version can be detonated with:
-a controlled firing trigger (M57) that can set off one or a series of daisy-chained mines
-a manual firing mechanism that is set off by the intended target (e.g. a trip wire)
-a manual delayed fuse mechanisim that is initiated just before abandoning the area

Effective range is about 50 meters, though the projectiles can have a range of about 100 meters.
