Interesting, that he said he ONLY ate UK Cold Climate rations. First time I have heard that before, as stated before when the American Military deploys we usually, with some small exceptions, deploy with our own native logistics elements as a full unit. Perhaps there is some misunderstanding, or the soldier was embedded with the UK and thus detached from his American Military unit.Robin heum wrote: Tue May 29, 2018 5:23 pm I am currently in the Norwegian army and i talked to an american soldier about what rations they ate during a Winter exercise. He Said they only eat british cold weather rations and stay really far from Norwegian rations.
The company posted this picture on their page and they seem to be very happy, so I would say this is something new.Robin heum wrote: Tue May 29, 2018 5:23 pm I am currently in the Norwegian army and i talked to an american soldier about what rations they ate during a Winter exercise. Good to know Ken! That explains it, the marines were detached and thus supplied by their "parent" company of UK Royal Marines!norge wrote: Wed May 30, 2018 11:19 am The USMC group that was up here this winter used British arctic rations because they was fueld and served by the Royal Marines as they was running the cold weather classes for the USMC.
