I found strange WORNIC MRE by eBay.

Yes, they pop up here and there often. From the late 90s I believe.
Not sure if I have ever seen the components however. That would be interesting.

Yes, I think that a tan color bag and the address of Texas are the keys of that era!
Usually, since it is printed with a mere font, the logo of "THE WORNICK COMPANY" is interesting.

I bought Menu 4, and the year of packing is 1998. My menu was Pasta and Vegetables in Alfredo Style Sauce (I thought it was dreadful, one of the worst entrees i've had in an MRE. Explains why it was only an entree for 4 years lol).
The really cool thing about the ration was there actually was RCW (Ration Cold Weather) components inside the pouch!!
The contents were:
Pasta and Vegetables in Alfredo Style Sauce
Vegetable Crackers
Strawberry Jam
Oatmeal Cookie Bars (RCW Version)
Beverage Base, Powder, Orange, Fortified (RCW Version)

I remember this meal, the taste of the alfredo sauce was super fake and just all wrong! This and the "newer" omelet and the veggie burger were a few of the worst ever meals in my book.
