Slovenian Combat Ration type B (updated menues)

Post by [ex-Member1] » Mon Mar 26, 2018 2:37 pm

So, this is one of the new updated menues from the last year. Difference is not just different mains then before, but also manufactures are different.

On the top of my head the FRH meal: there is no more Hot Pack UK meals, now it's Jomipsa from Spain, known for UN Combat Ration mains and some other. Flameless heater and the main came in one zip lock bag, nice and tightly packed.

Also there was one short time freeze dried mains where made by MSI Germany, not it's Travellunch again. You get 3 of them
1 main: lentils with ham
1 breakfast: chocolate muesli with whole milk powder
1 dessert: wild berry yogurt dessert

3 mineral-vitamin drinks for 0.5 liters of water

Slovenian rations where always one of my favorites and some of you know I often describe them as most underrated rations out there. Maybe because it's a rare ration or maybe people are not interested in such small country combat ration, but I can say without any hesitation people who think that are missing much. This is very western EU looking ration with ton's of stuff inside and the ones who choose contents have done awesome job. In this menu there is some fish products, but they are not overwhelming so for light haters of seafood there should be no problem, the fish-vegetable pate is amazing and you can't hardly taste the fish, the tuna in oil steak is maybe more seafoodish, but also not that much if you compare it so like sardines from some countries.

Vitamin-Mineral drinks have almost natural orange smell, taste is more bland, not very sweet and you can taste the added mineral-vitamin stuff in it. Still much better then elephant sweat in powder you get in french ration masked as a isotonic drink mix. Instant tea is 10/10.

Travellunch are always great in my opinion. You also get that classic pack of vitamin tablets you can eat over the day.

Until now I had 2 different menues and Slovenian CR goes in my TOP 3 rations.

The rest of the pictures are on Crombat Rations Facebook page

I too have always said this is the most underrated ration out there. I can't wait to dig into the newer one I got from you a little while ago!

Yeah you got another C menu, a new one this time. You lucky b*stard  I need to get me one of those since with updated menues 2 of them are poultry free, before it was just one. BTW chocolate mousse, I think you are getting one - it's just wow.
