British Choco. Cake
The Brits call this pudding? eh? It's chocolate cake covered in chocolate sauce from Martha Stewart Hell. Actually it's damn good if you have a sweet tooth.

After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!

Re: British Choco. Cake
It is my understanding that they call any dessert type item pudding. The question, "what's for pudding?" can be answered with, "cake."DangerousDave wrote:The Brits call this pudding? eh? Perhaps a UK member can clarify.

It’s okay. They invented the language- it’s only fitting they be the ones to destroy it.Mpitt wrote:It is my understanding that they call any dessert type item pudding. Re: British Choco. Cake
Anything that can be eaten for dessert is a pudding. So a piece of cake can be pudding.
Pudding is correctly a steamed cake mix. Although there is also rice pudding.
But you can still have savoury puddings, like black pudding, Yorkshire pudding, suet pudding and steak and kidney pudding.
Steak and KIdney puddings used in be in the old GP tinned ration packs, were known as babies heads and were the food of the Gods to most of us
