Hi there,

A question about nutrient fluid (clysis) Anybody familiar with that stuff?

There's is one selling it on Ebay europe item# 140113786531. Telling it comes from the KSK (German Special Forces). Perhaps i'd like to bid on it but have no clue on value or shelf life.

up for bid is 8x 250 ml. containing Water,Maltodextrin 19, salt.

Thank you in advance,
Nawt.

one time i tried one...i spew it out again and hoped it will be never neccessary to drink it again.

in german forum we also spoke about the longlife of the nutrient water, somebody wrote a letter to the company, which is producing it. but he had no luck to get any information about it.

my reference...save your money for other yumi mre and epa items ;)

bye

Nutrient fluid, eh? Sounds like sugar water. I suppose if you ran out of regular rations, then ran out of those emergency food bars, then ran out of bark and grass, then the "nutrient fluid" would probably taste great. :-)

This is the genuine ebay picture:

The seller´s description is a try, to sell this for more money.
This liquide is not a "special KSK nutrition drink".

It is "ordenary" NBC-drink:

Image

If you wear a NBC-suit, usually you can´t neither eat nor drink thru the mask.
Therefore the Bundeswehr (German Army) is having this drink that can be drunk with a tube system (similar to a "Ringer" infusion system) thru the NBC mask.

This should substitute water, carbs etc to keep the soldiers "running" and prevent them from dehydration.

This is real "emergency water" :

Little bags, containing 50ml water, packed together in a bag with 10 containers. I´m having 5 liters of them...

Hello Housil,

Thank you for the update on the fluid, and good pictures.
I contacted the seller to be informed on the production date: It was 1999.

Well that's it for now.
cheers,
Nawt

I'll drink to that! Anyone know if the germans have figured out a way to stabilize bavarian lager to put in their rations yet? They've got to have an entire lab in Munich working on that one!
