New England Sand Chowder

I've tried 2003, 2004, Wornick, Sopakco, Ameriqual, and without fail every "can" has delighted me with that gritty tooth-enamel-removing sand. :( I love that darn Pork Rib but the sand soup is really torture. Is it just me or what?
