Are military MRE's better than civilian MRE's like many say?
Not just taste but nutritian, and shelf life as well.

I would say the taste is exactly the same because most civilian MREs use the exact same parts (entrees, sides, etc.) as the military MREs. The same goes for the shelf life and nutrition. In some civilian MREs such as the ones from Sopakco or Ameriqual, you can't tell the difference between the civilian entrees and the military entrees.
The biggest difference between the two types of MREs is in the variety and amount of food and in the types of accessories included.
