Russian freeze dried special ration menu 1

This is probably one of their first freeze dried rations. Nicely pack with dishes, very lightweight. In terms of taste not so good as the wet rations, similar dishes.

Delicious - Thank you for the share... from your comments, it appears our Russian friends may need more time to perfect their freeze dried menus, no?... my initial thought, soldiers in the field will require large quantity of water.

If you are in a place, where getting water is no problem - such ration is ok. Maybe they should include water purification tablets in the ration. When you compare the US MRE vs MCW - they are on the same taste level (often the MCW are judged better). In case of Russian - there is still a big difference between these two types of rations. I heard that this ration is discontinued.
