Meal 1

Meal 1 consisted of the sausages and beans, cheese biscuits, cranberries and raisins, and grapefruit drink. The sausage and beans were like canned beans with Vienna sausages in them, and tasted just as you would expect. Cheese biscuits were good and not stale at all. Fruit mix was really good also. The grapefruit drink is amazing! I wish I could buy this at my local store...

Meal 2

Meal 2 consisted of Chicken yellow Curry with Rice, BBQ Peanuts, Chocolate Brownie, and Cola drink. The Curry Chicken was fantastic and the highlight of this ration for sure. Complex flavors with a lingering spice. Went very well with the peanuts. Would have been excellent with some of those raisins added aswell. The Brownie was a little dry textured but tasted very good. The cola drink tastes almost like a spiced tea drink. There's a spice finish that is maybe allspice or nutmeg? IDK, but it's delicious.

Meal 3

Meal 3 consisted of the Tuna Chili Pasta, Caramel Cereal Bar, and Tropical drink. Full disclosure; I'm not a big fan of fish but ate it for purposes of this review. Honestly, I didn't care for it. The fishy taste was REALLY strong, more like mackerel than the tuna I'm used to. My wife agreed it was overly fishy. Even the Tabasco didn't help :( The Caramel Cereal was like a soft granola and very good. The tropical drink was excellent, with a nice pineapple flavor. IMHO, the ORPs contain some of the best drinks in any rations.

There were also a number of extra snacks we enjoyed throughout the day, and all were very good. My only suggestion is they could have added some crackers or biscuits for the Squidge. The ORPs never seem to have enough biscuits/crackers for me. I guess I'm just used to those crackerfest Russian IRPs lol. Overall The ORPs are an excellent ration that contain a lot of options and a nice variety for a soldier in the field. Thank you for checking out my review. Happy ration hunting!

Sorry, I posted this review to the wrong thread...

The ORP cereal bars are favorites of mine..they're not real grainy/nutty, just soft and moist (and tasty). Yep, those little wieners and beans are nothing special..the label could read "chicken sausages", "pork sausages" or just plain "sausages" with beans and all three will look and taste exactly the same :/ Not a fan of the cola drink mix but the grapefruit is totally bomb along with those bbq peanuts! And I'll take the mango cake in every ORP! The brownie is fine but that cake is outta sight!

Thanks for the review and photos (in packaging and plated)!

Great review and pics! ORPs are near the top of my favorites list. I've never taken to the cola drink, I find it a bit odd. Almost like a flat, store-brand cola, only with that slight "spice" finish that you mentioned. I'm a big fan of the grapefruit drink as well.
