A friend of mine has a case (well actually 11, because we took out one package this morning and tried some of it ) of 1999 Wornick MilSpec civilian MREs. He isn't sure what to do with the rest, so I thought I would ask you folks for advice. Not being military issue, they don't have the FRHs. Given that they are civilian, lacking FRHs and are pretty old, do you think there would be much interest on ebay? I didn't really think there would be, but I thought I'd ask the MRE community. He isn't going to eat them since they're 18 years old (date code 9109). He might scavenge the matches, spoons and still edible components (peanut butter).
Thanks for the input

Re: 1999 Wornick MilSpec
I'll take one if it's unopened. Not many people will buy them if you savenge for the edibles haha.

My friend would rather sell these as a unit, s0-
You get 11 Wornick Mil-spec meals - these are collectibles, discontinued in 2001.
He's also throwing in a Lithuanian ration with a 2018 use by date
$40+shipping
Message me if interested and exchange his paypal info.

You might be able to sell singles for Ration reviewers. The entrees are probably ok, but the other items might be a crap shoot. I've been working my way through a 2001 case of MREs, but that's about as old as I wanna go. Only problem I see is shipping costs are probably more than the meals are worth, so IDK...best bet may be a trade, not a sale
it is what it is....
