Menu #5 2015 Review

Post by Eistee »

Hello Everyone here is my Review of an 2015 MRE #5
I found this menu in an sealed Case B that i bought, that was the first weird thing that happened.
The second one was that as you can see on the picture, there was no FRH in it.

The Contents of the MRE, note the missing FRH.

Because the FRH was missing i had to heat the main in some boiling water.

First i got the drink going, fruit punch, as soon as i opened up the package a intense smell of artificial flavors came towards me.
The smell reminded me alot of the twizzlers that you sometimes find in MREs

It mixed up nicely, the taste was just as i thought when i smelled it, just like twizzlers that you would dissolve in water.
Nice concentrated cherry flavor.

Nice concentrated cherry flavor.
The snacks were also very good, the cranberrys were still nice and moist with slight acidity, just as you would expect from cranberrys.
The Reeses pieces were in perfect shape and tasted perfectly.
The First strike bar was very dense and sweet with a nice cinnamon taste and abit of crunch.

For the main course i warmed up the tortillas and the cheese spread along with the entree for the last 2 mins, so that the spread was nice and soft and the tortillas wouldnt break as i fold them open.

The Chicken chunks itself were moist and tender and had a good chicken broth kinda taste.

I fished out some nice pieces of chicken out from my bowl and put them on one of the tortillas.

I "gundogged" it abit by adding to the Chicken chunks on the tortilla a decent amount of the buffalo hot sauce and squeezed a nice amount of cheese spread on top.

After the meat was gone, there was still a good amount of juices left.

Are you trying to say that quality control made a mistake??? Do you honestly expect us to believe that??

:D :D

Seriously though, good review. I am not a fan of the chicken entrees but it does look like it was good.

At least that's one meal that would be fine at room temperature. Good job.
