It looks like it says "RATION SUPPLEMENT SUNDRIES PACK"

It comes from this video at YouTube. You can also see some soldiers (ARVNs?) receiving some combat rations from a box, as well as US soldiers eating "hot A rations" as I remember them being called. The part with the rations start at around the 2:00 minute-mark.

I know that this is an older post but I just found it and your link to the sundries pack. All I can say is WOW I'd love to find one of those packs still in tact.

Chances are only a few still exist. They're probably in private collections and museums.

What a beautiful thing - if any are left, they are most certainly in personal collections. I have no idea if there are any in the U.S. or abroad in Museums.. who knows?

And of course, there is probably one in some elderly widow's basement in Anywhere, USA - collecting dust.. maybe some mildew - and one day it will be found. :)

Thrill of the hunt!

Those really are amazing. I can't express that enough. Also I'm sure that somewhere out there they exist. Just where and when will they pop up is the million dollar question. I'd love to see one up close and personal. I'd probably grab it and try to hop away. There just my type of ration. "One of these days Alice one of these days"
