23 Year Old MRE Flameless Ration Heaters: Will They Work?

And the answer is……… yes they will! I pulled 3 at random from a sealed case of 1992 FRHs I;ve had stored for years. They took a little time to get started but they all worked just fine. I was surprised.

Great test Chief, I don't actually use them on camping trips t heat meals. But like to have them around in case of emergency
Who knows you matches all get wet from flipping the canoe over etc.
I have a bunch from the 1990's, I call them Bill Clinton heaters :D :D
Good to know they still work

Thanks

My thinking is that, still being shrink wrapped, no oxygen or moisture was able to reach them and that's why they were still good.
