1998 EPa Cevapcici

Post by housil »

Yesterday we did a all day trip to a former WW2 (Luftwaffe) and later US training site.
That place was used in WW2 for diving bombers practice with concrete and live bombs.

Meeting in the woods, taking "cover" for lunch. We had the "kids" (teenagers) with us.

We "cooked" it too long in hot water, so the inner plastic layer loosened from the cover lid.

The food it self was still great, no sign of 17 years of age!

We started at 9:30am at freezing 32F (0°C)

but got a great, sunny day.

US remains everywhere

What an awesome review, housil!
I think it's great that you brought some younger folks with ya, i'm sure it was fun for them to witness the amazing freshness of that EPA!

I love the vehicles, they remind me of the German equivelence to the US willys jeeps!
And absolutely beautiful terrain there, i feel like i could just lay in the grass and not worry about fire ants like here in central Florida in that 2nd to last pic.

Great pics housil! One of my all time favorite hobbies is hiking old cold war sites, amazing what can be found here in western Massachusetts. The food looks really good and the Bundeswehr must have some really good ways of preserving stuff because it seems like German rations have a longer shelf life than U.S. stuff.
