Entree prices all suck now

It used to be I could always count on http://www.theepicenter.com to have decent entree prices. They used to be $1.66 back when http://www.longlifefood.com 's were $2.50. TheEpicenter's selection might have been more limited but they were affordable.

I'm sad to report that this is no longer the case. I just checked their site and they're saying:
As you know, MRE items are in very short supply. The tightest supply we have seen in our 12 years, and it got worse this month.
These prices are the highest we have had to charge our customers, and the highest price we have ever paid for them.

Entree prices are now $2.25 each. We can discount them to $2.10 when ordering the mixed case of 68 below.
Unfortunately, they don't include shipping in the cost and this adds another $35 for me for a case of 72 - bringing the total for a case to $204.

So here's the breakdown on MRE entree sellers with whom I'm familiar (based on a case of 72 entrees including shipping):

http://www.theepicenter.com = $204 ($2.83 per entree)
http://www.longlifefood.com = $195 (2.71 per entree)
http://www.mrefoods.com = $187 ($2.60 per entree)

Some notes about the above:

Longlifefood.com - they sell entrees singly ($3) or in cases of 24 ($65), shipping included. The 24 pack is handy if you don't want one case of all the same type - you can get 3 24-packs to mix and match.

MREFoods.com - they sell entrees in either 12 packs ($2.90 per entree or $35 total) or 64/68/72 packs (depends on the item but they all come out to $2.60 per entree), shipping included.

Overall, it looks like mrefoods.com has the best prices with longlifefood.com coming in a close second. But LLF has about double the variety so depending on what you're looking for it's a toss-up between these two. You should also note that you can get 12 packs from mrefoods whereas LLF starts at 24 packs.

Of course, you can still stock up on the 2001 Meatloaf entrees at theepicenter.com! They're $0.99 each or $0.89 each if you buy a case of 72 ($64 + shipping).

Oops...let me add one vendor to the list.

http://www.beprepared.com (Emergency Essentials) used to have MRE entrees and then they were out for a while. But now they look to be stocked up again. Check out what they have:

Prices seem pretty decent and range from $2.25 to $2.75 per entree. Personally, I think someone was hitting the crack pipe a little hard when they decided to charge $2.75 for the Chicken Breast (that thing should be half price because it's so small!) but the rest of their prices are reasonable.

The best part of the deal is shipping. For an order of 72 entrees, they only wanted $12 to ship it anywhere in the US. So that makes a case of 72 entrees anywhere from $174 to $202. And these are per-entree prices so you can mix and match all you want.
