Yugo/Balkans Mess kit

I picked up this superb mess kit to use on Hiking trips. What I liked about it, is the shape makes for better packing. A fair sized water bottle/canteen is stored inside saving more space. The lid is a thick plastic bowl and there is a small cup on top the canteen.
The set came with nesting utensils that have a can and bottle opener attached.
Wanted a place to store a Esbit or Trangia stove, so I cut down an old British Tea Tin. This slips on the bottom and now I can use it as a extra pot, lid to steam or makeshift wind screen pot stand. If you pack the Esbit and tabs you have plenty of room. The Trangia takes up more space but it is still compact.

I would like to give this set to SNOW PEAK of Japan and have them copy it in Titanium and add a proper windscreen.
You could have one of the best sets in the world.

It is best for eating soups, stews, beans. Or other typical meals ladled out by Army cooks as you walk in line and eat from the truck. I assume the Serb Army used these to make tea or as a tray when they were fed from trucks.
Mess kits seem to come in three basic Types. The Germanic pot set used by half of Europe and Asia. The British Rectangle set used by Holland and France. And the U.S. set Nobody else uses our Flat early 1890's Spanish/American through 1990's Desert Storm set.

This set seems as if the got their Inspiration from the West German Army and Soviet Airborne sets and combined them.
For cooking It would be hard to do anything but boil water in the pot. The pot is small, but it could be done. Forget about frying anything like eggs. You would loose half your meal, as it would stick to the sides and burn.

Boil in the bag cooking of MRE or retort pouch works well with this set. Also heating canned meals by setting the can in the boiling water. The pot is very thick Aluminum and built like a Soviet 'Stalin' Tank. I found using a Swiss Rubberized ammo bag is a better carrier than the Stock Army Issue pouch.

For the price this would be great to store in your car/truck Boat with an Esbit and tabs. Again you could cook canned food right in the can or any sort of retort pouch meal. You get stuck on the job when it snows,( like I have) you can make coffee and eat something hot.

Is a nice JNA*/Serbian mess kit which are very popular these days.
I like them because they are very compact and the also have their own set of silverware.
I'm looking one complete for my collection.

Sportsmans Guide has them 2/$20, but they don't have the utensil kit.
