Hi again!
I just found British 24h ration, lets see what is inside..
Image

Lots of stuff here, keeps soldier ticking all day long.
Image
Obviously I`m not going to eat all this on one day...
Mod All day breakfast:
Beans with pork sausages. Hefty start!
Image
Goes with crackers I guess? Two types of these, Biscuit brown`s and Biscuits fruit`s.
Dated 24.02.09 and 25.02.09. Wonder how rancid these will be?
Oatmeal block is saved for the evening coffee.
Image
Yeast extract is mystery stuff for me. Somekind of salty spread I guess.
Image
Image

Then there is a pouch of tuna, tuna in mayonnaise. Dated 24.01.09.... Looking for a toilet already...
Image
In a soup section there is a Cream of chicken. No real chicken I think.
Oops, I was wrong. There is 0,8% chicken powder in it. That just qualifies it then!
Image

Head-chef recommends today Beef ravioli in a mushroom sauce.
Image
And a dessert there is a lemon sponge pudding. I have eaten like this once, nice little sponge brick swimming in a syrup. Lots of sugar!
Image
And rest of stuff
Candies, hard type.
Image
Accessories:
Image
More... Chocolate bar and mini Tabasco are nice surprise! :D
Image
There is a 10 boxes these on a sale here in Finland, 88 euros. Pay-day is at Friday... :P
Woah, lot of stuff in here, to be continued.....

Nice pics thanks for sharing

Yeast extract is also called Vegemite, which is similar to marmite if that helps any.

I love it but I don't eat bread (carbs) anymore so I need to find something else to eat it on.

Everything in that ration should be 100% edible the UK rations last a LONG time. The biscuits are great trust me! I have some from 2006 still going strong, the packs you have, I believe, were the trial rations before the Multi-Climate Ration Pack and the new designed 24 Hour Ration Packs.

Spread it on Ummmm.... bacon?

I´m doing a "low-fat-30-diet", that why I love MREs, most if them are low-fat.

Lets start with breakfast !
Crackers were ok, not rancid at all. Little dry thou.
Image
Little bit of smoothing added...
Image
Strawberry jam was nice, quite sweet.
Black goo in other hand, wont eat that. Perioid.

Then there was beans and frankfurters. And seems like omelet. Not quite sure about that. Tasted like meatloaf or similar dish.
Blad taste afterall.

Great pictures! Shame you wont try the Vegemite - I'm in the "love it" camp myself. Just finished a tube. Mine was from an Australian PR1M so it said Vegemite instead of Yeast Extract, but the back was identical. Same factory and ingredients and whatnot.
