(Alleged) RUS, UKR rations: Are these for real?

Post by MILNEWS_ca » Thu Nov 29, 2012 8:50 am

I tried searching, but to no avail - I figured that if anybody would know, I thought some around here would. Are these Russian and Ukrainian rations available from soviet-power.com the real deal, or commercial copies?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Just a heads up - the last I spoke with someone from that website (spring 2011) I was informed that they would cancel any orders placed to the US because of the restrictions with US Customs. It is illegal to attempt to import meat or dairy of any kind into the US and they didn't want to have to deal with confiscated or destroyed packages. The same is true of alot of foreign companies that sell rations.

I purchased a version of the IRP from "SovietArmyStuff" about 3 years ago and the ration shipped in a plain brown box without any Customs forms on it. Just my address, his address, and a bunch of colorful stamps.

No padding inside the box, either, so the contents were slightly mashed. I usually sample any foreign rations I get, but till haven't eaten any of this. Even the crackers look unappetizing. :|

I bumped my old post back up. Take a look at the article there. They are real.

I published the small review of the Russian ration of IRP in the section International Rations
Dear forumites, upon purchase of rations I don't bear responsibility for passing by a parcel of customs authorities of the USA,Canada and other countries. You make all purchases at own risk. Please consider it at the order of rations
