Colour of MRE´s

Hi,

Why changed the color in 1996 from dark brown to tan ?
There was no big conflict in an desert area at this time

I think the First Gulf War In 1991 must have influenced the change. It has often been said that the US Army always trains for the last war it fought.

The French Army trains for the last war it WON ...I guess that's why they used to make us maneuver in line with the bayonets all the time :roll:
