Date codes 2010

While browsing thru Ebay, I saw different 2010 case with three different date codes:

The well known 4 digit code

starting with a "0" for 2010

New to me

the exactly date printed on to prevent from been mistaken 2000 and 2010

But what´s that:

12309808 8344

Any suggestions how that code is working?!

The usage of the date code that can be seen on the MRE cases of your second photo is common, take a look at the MRE boxes out of my collection from 1998, 1999 and 2005, all those were packed by AMERIQUAL PACKAGING.







But that one of your third photo I have never seen before and also have no idea of translation…

I was thinking it might be a Julian date, but I don't think so. Must be a internal dating / batch code used by that MFG., it is out of specs though because I believe all MRE packaging according to contract must be dated as shown in the other pics but maybe that has changed...

The odd thing:



the 4 digit code is "8344", that´s might be Dec 10th of a year XXX8. So the inspection date suppose to be XX11 (or XX01).
But it´s 02/2013
So it´s a 2010 case for sure - due to the inspec date - but that doesn´t match to any of the pack. codes...
