Tried one of the bacon cheddar FSR sandwiches. Got mine at The Epicenter.
Didn't like it. Won't be buying more.
There were a couple of actual strips of bacon in the middle of the thing. That is the good part.
The bread is different than other FSR pocket sandwiches and seemed dry and dense. Similar to wheat snack bread, which I detest. I had this one cold, and perhaps it would be better hot. But, I'm doubting it.
Not enough taste. Yes there was bacon, but the taste was overwhelmingly that of the dense and dry bread.
Overall, not a great item.

Interesting perspective on this.
I had one of these when doing a hike and I enjoyed it... Had a nice cup of MRE mocha cappuccin with it. The bread is slightly different, as you said and it has a bit of a cheddar taste. The strips of bacon are very nice.
I guess this is more of YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary).

Agree- food is such a personal preference kind of thing. What I hate, you might love.
For me, it just doesn't do it.

Re: Review - Bacon Cheddar FSR sandwich
I recently picked up about 20 FSR sandwiches of all varieties and have to say my issue with them is the opposite - the bread has never been even close to dry tasting. It's WAY too doughy in every instance I've tried. The Bacon Cheddar sandwiches had a weird chemical taste that put me off of them. The only one I actually enjoy is the Honey BBQ Chicken, but I'd eat any in a pinch of course.
