By the way, look at the water level and the speed. Trust me, that water is powerfull. I wouldn't attempt that, especially not if the fueltank was empty (and floats).

I encountered that kind of water on SAR course after heavy rain in the carpates, and your basically just a puppet.
We had to strap someone on a stretcher, and get him over the water.. Dipping him in a few times (AK70 definetly remembers vulture..). Our water was just belly deep, and already you couldn't stand your ground.. at all.. You had to rely on the rope.

Russian vehicles are made to last and hold punishment specially those Ural trucks. The thing is if you see on the video the exhaust pipe (muffler) is nor below the vehicles but on the side and the pipes go upward so no water goes inside and the motor keeps running.
People used to do that in Puerto rico with some old cars.
But there are cars that are trully a marvel in floods and are german made, the 1964 Volkswagen 1300 "Beetle".Their motors are sealed (marine type) and plenty of times my grandfather used to wade flooded areas with the water to half of the door and the little buggy kept moving foward like a little tug boat and we remained dry inside!!!!!!

the snow's arrived on Brittany too! As the climate is usually very mild in our area, the local utilitiies don't keep large piles of salt, they have no snowplows, the school, post office, etc. are all closed
Well, at least the kids can have fun in the snow!

I love snow aswell, I've got a whool sweather for my dog (it's a terriër.. and just got her hair removed) and little goretex snow socks with antislip. In flecktarn print. (made it from a Bundeswehr Naßeschutzjacke, and we powermelted rubber on it)

It's just that snow doesn't get cought between her toes.. It was some getting used to.. but it works great, no slipping and sliding either (for the dog that is..)

We did some small 5 tot 11 KM hikes the last couple of days.. She loves the snow. Cold isn't a issue.
To bad it isn't cold enough. I love -15*C more then -5*C. Just because the snow melts easy now, and makes you wet.. and therefore cold. You don't have that with -15*C, so it's a lot easier to keep warm. It might seem ironic.. but it's true.

Our dog has such "gadgets" too...

Can't blame you.. It's the only way to prevent your dog ending up in a freezedried LRRP chinese ration (just joking)
