EpA's public access verboten?

Post by rationtin440 » Sun Jan 24, 2010 2:09 pm

If u have already answered this housil please forgive me, but in Germany are your military's rations permitted for sale to public? As u probably know, here in America, our Tan MREs have the "commercial resale unlawful" printed on the outside pouch, a holdover from the Clinton years when it was done to prevent militia groups   from gatting and stockpiling rations. Of course when i was in the service, after the unit's supply sergeant signed for the cases, they no longer existed in the inventory so we could do what we wanted

Actually there is no way to sale EPas to the public as they are an especially military made item. It´s the Bundeswehr itself making them, they do not come from a civilian company. The companies deliver the single items and Verpflegungsamt in Oldenburg put them together to EPa´s to distribute them to the troops in A´stan and just a minor to the troops on exercises over here.

Single soldier sale their rations they got on training but denied to eat them, nobody cares. It´s theirs.

But if somebody takes a case of 6 EPa´s from quartermaster and sale it on Ebay to make money it´s either concealment or theft of military property. A crime.

That commercial resale is unlawful warning isn´t that bad to me, as the MREs are paid from American taxpayers to feed the troops, not to make single guys making money. Isn´t it?! Image

Olli, is the same crime here in the US the resale of MRE's but is not enforced. Plus if they give them way in emergency sitiations like Katrina or Haiti ,trustme they are going to be sold and nobody can stop them....

Actually I've never sold MREs but i know that supply sergeants in my last unit made some $$ selling stuff. Whatever i did not eat i'd bring home because once they are signed for by individual soldier they cannot be returned.
