COSTCO carrying SHELF RELIANCE food

Post by sag45 » Sat Oct 10, 2009 12:20 pm

Hello, hope all is doing well, me just surviving and been out of the MRE stuff for a while.
I just bought a year membership at COSTCO http://www.costco.com and had found some long term food cans.
Anyone heard of SHELF RELIANCE? http://www.shelfreliance.com .
I may buy a few cans down the road but I didnt see a combo of meat and vegs. COSTCO also has
some other emergency items that I will take a look at next time I make it overthere.

There is no meat in that bundle. It includes various meat flavored cans of TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein). The contents of the package are listed at http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.as ... lang=en-US I believe that is also a Costco.com only item (which means that Costco doesn't actually carry it, but rather it is dropped shipped directly from the vendor. Also (they cynical marketing side of me coming out) the fact that they can't ship for 5 weeks after the order has been placed leads me to believe that the vendor will actually have to assemble the product once the orders have been placed. There are some "survival"/"food storage" items that are carried in Costco stores, but that tends to vary based upon locality.
