I recently scored a case of TOTMs off of eBay. They were fairly fresh with a date packed of "7225" (August, 2007). Here are some pictures:

I haven't tried one yet but they look pretty much like MREs with just a little less food. Here's the official DSCP page on them:

It's interesting that despite having all the same parts as an MRE, the inspection date is only 18 months after the date packed, not 36 months like with MREs.

The TOTMs look surprisingly like the Sure-Pak civilian MREs.
