There must not have been much interest in it. It ended with no bids. At $30 a meal, I can kinda see why.

They have sell plenty of those...the problem is mostly rice...
So far I have had dealings with the mentioned ebay seller with no problem so far...

It's weird we don't get to see more chinese-rations. With the large army they have you'd think they would have millions and millions of rations lying around, some of which not doubt would find their way to the west.

what I find weird it's that we don't have already seen an eBay shop in China or HK selling them for $.99 (+9.99 worldwide shipping)

I have a feeling that they do most of their feeding the old fashioned way, with cook tents and mess tins.
Maybe even down at the platoon or squad level, with a communal cook pot over a fire.
