look at this!

i scored this old school batch of mre's in pigeon forge from a roadside vendor. i paid 30 dollars for a full case packed in 1991 plus two full meals packed in 96. the two meals i chose were bbq pork in rice, and ham slice both two of my all time favorites. review of the ham slice is after this. i bought these for two reasons. one nostalgia i ate these type mre's at boot camp in 96. second reason was to test there longevity. these came from unknown sources and unknown conditions. i will not review any of the ones from this case but i will review the two extra meals. this entire case is going into my freezer in the basement. maybe my son will review them in thirty years. you better live a long time kman or pass on this site to willing child.

Sweet deal on the case! I'm jealous - I have some 1992 MREs and some 1993 - but no 1991s, I don't think. And to think that Pigeon Forge isn't too far away...I really do need to start hitting those weekend flea markets.
