How many MRE's are made each year?

Post by Hardtack » Sat Feb 02, 2008 2:02 am

Anyone have any statistics on how many mre's are made by the big 3 (Sopako, Ameriqual, Wornick)? I was reading The Federal Response to Hurricane Katrina: Lessons Learned, Chapter Three: Hurricane Katrina - Pre-Landfall. http://www.whitehouse.gov/reports/katri ... pter3.html

The pic of the map showing pre deployed supplies shows hundreds & hundreds of thousands of MRE's in trailers. It got me thinking. Those in storage for civilian emergency's. Plus what the military has in storage, plus all the MRE's going to the war and other operations though out the world.... WOW thats alot of food!.

Who cares? The Katrina so-called victims did'nt want them. The US Soldiers in Iraq are tired of eating them. Maybe we should get billary back in the whitehouse. Then everything will be fine. She will order her co-President to cancel all meals, and switch over to MacDonalds and Pop Eyes feeding stations. 8)

And don't forget, you West coasterners, Billary likes the In And Out Burger, right beside the Fisrt Aid station on every corner. Me, I'm going to Canada for my knee replacement surgery, in 2009. My knee hurts. Damn

Guys, if Shrillary does get elected she'll do away with the MRE's and other rations and ultimately serve nothing but Halal meals. That's so we don't offend anybody in the free world and our enemies.....

If Shrillary gets elected, she will do her best to get rid of the Military, except for a few hundred to serve drinks and Canapes... :?

Guys,
Is it me or did the FSR's not make it into this FY'07 listing? I would be curious to find out if the FSR's had a separate category or would that be under "other rations"?

Treesuit, are you asking about the figures I posted above? If so, the FSRs weren't included but I can dig up those figures if you'd like.
