Sicily-Rome American Cemetery
The Sicily-Rome American Cemetery is one of two American military cemeteries located in Italy. More than 10,800 American heroes who lost their lives during World War II are buried there and more than 3,000 are honored on the Walls of the Missing.
The majority of these men and women died in the liberation of Italy during the landings in the Salerno and Anzio areas, and in air and naval support in the regions.
