I got this from a great Army Navy Surplus store in San Luis Obispo a couple of years ago. This Humanitarian Daily Ration was packed nicely by Ameriqual. Opened it up at work tonight and found it enjoyable. The mains were Bean Salad, and "Peas and Pasta" (it's garbonzo beans). The fig bar package said "one" but it was two distinct fig newton simulations, perfectly fine. Two packs of plain MRE crackers, two strawberry jams and one peanut butter. The oatmeal cookie is by its label well fortified. The ground red pepper in the accessory pack was put to good use with the Bean Salad - that was definitely better with a little salt and the red pepper added

. I think next time I might mix in some can/pouched tuna.
I also found the crackers more satisfying with a little salt rubbed on them.
