1992 pork with rice in bbq sauce

finaly a complete mre that was not spoiled
one of my favorite menues, pork with rice in bbq sauce.

only thing i didnt eat up was the grape jelly since i never realy liked jelly so i used a cheese spread instead.

man it was good, the hole meal took me back to the old days the pork was moist and good bbq flavor, the apple sauce was just fine tasted like fresh apple sauce,coffe ,hot cocolate drink,cherry drink was perfect and the Mars bar was perfect, not sour or anything bad

Wow, if the Mars bar was good, you know this was stored well. I've had a few of these I don't recall ever seeing a Mars bar in that good of condition. I'd love to see an example of the applesauce still being a good color in these old MREs. Thanks for sharing!

yep it have been a long time since i found apple sauce in normal color but taste wise it was good.

I will 2nd that it's one of the best MRE menus out there, I love it, and in such good shape!!

I've had pretty rough Mars bars before, but I got a perfect condition one only once, in a 1993 Frankfurters!

Wish I had more luck with fudge bars, only found two in edible conditions, one in a 1979 MCI, and another in a 1981 MRE :/

but you found good freeze dryed strawberry havent found that for a long time.
the last edible fudge bar i had was from a 1983 mre
