Looks like "Group Ration" means "Big Can of Food". I'm not complaining, though - that stuff looks pretty good!

thats the EPA "light". lightweightfood.
thats the new group ration of the BUNDESWEHR. its for 4 people a whole day. 2 warm meals (for example menue V: spaghetti with meat sauce, and a soup), energy bars in lemon and another, beverage powder, cracker, sugar, salt and little things like matches, chewing gum...
you only need boiling water for the hot meals. here you go with the good old ESBIT burner or US like: trioxane

Thats the only one from ebay. All my other came straight from the Bundeswehr kitchen (Küchenbulle)

As German_EPA said, it´s an
EPa leicht.
The
EPa leicht was issued in 1999 when the Bundeswehr joined foreign country missions and had to figure out, that an regular EPa is to big and heavy for a group of soldiers on a "special mission"
So the
EPa leicht was established. For four soldiers for a whole day.

On the pic are only 4 (entree) bags, but it contains 8 freezdried bags (4 lunch 4 dinner and lots of other stuff)

left box: First version with printed typ and date. The breakfast crackers (Weizenkeimlingkekse) came in a blue can
right box: Actuall version with sticker on it and the crackers are in a bag

left: beverage with minerals
right: "nutrient power drink"

left: Bundeswehr entree
right: civilian entree for export (english) with "best before date"
Most of it came fron an German civilian expedition supplier, the Reiter company in Augsburg. See this link for it:
http://www.travellunch.de/frameset_eng.htm
All the coffee, sugar, matches etc. is the same as in the regular EPa

The
EPa leicht thing was about madcapmagician question.
I only bought the Bratklopse at ebay as you meant. All others (can´s and all EPa´s) I got from the Bundeswehr
