I have one US Halal meal that was made in 2016: Beef Stew. I know that officially "The maximum shelf life at delivery is 10 months; the minimum shelf life at delivery is 8 months."
I have read that the life is shorter due to preparation and lower levels of preservatives.
Has anyone sampled one of these up to 3 years after manufacture? What am I likely in for?

The main should be fine. Some of the snack sides in the silver foil packets may not.
