Anyone familiar with GTW Ration?

I was wondering if there was anyone here that might be familiar with the components that are used in GTW (GoToWar) rations? These are supposed to be alternatives to supplement the supply of MREs during periods where it becomes necessary for the industry to significantly increase production to meet needs. They're apparently constructed from items that are commonly available in the commercial retail arena.

Gee thanks guys, that'a about as useful as the proverbial mammary glands on a bovine of the male pursuasion
Actually I was just curious as to whether or not it may have been the catalyst to the development of products like the HeaterMeal 3, as HeaterMeal is an approved resource for non-combatant sustinance, and items like Jimmy Deans and the Sunmeadow packages were specifically excluded for use as GTW rations.
Dirtbag - Remember when Holiday Inn Express was just known as Holiday Inn motels and rooms were about $8?

Yup, and I remember Motel 6 for $ 6 bucks too!
25 cent gas,
10 cent saturday matinee,
nickel candy bars,
I guess I've dated myself !

25¢ for a gallon of gas!? That was high back then. I was paying 23¢ for premium back then! And it may have varied depending upon locale, but I seem to remember that the movies were 25¢ for kids and 75¢ for adults. But a quarter would also buy you a loaf of bread or a quart of milk at the corner convenience store.

And as late as the early 80's I remember when Bertola's in Oakland served well drinks for 25¢, 50¢ for a double, and 75¢ for a triple. Dinners were cheap there too, but I can't remember if it was any good after spending a few dollars at the bar
Never stayed at a Motel 6 back in those days; probably didn't have enough quarters for the TV

The cheapest I can remember gas in my hometown of Lancaster, Kalifornistan, was 21 cents a gallon (early `70s). I do however remember seeing it at 18 cents a gallon "down" in the Los Angeles area during their so-called "Gas Wars".
