Tell me about this MRE

A friend of mine gave me this and I've never seen one like it can anyone give me information? The markings on the package in the photo are all that is on it

Cant help you for sure but just wanted to say I'm interested too! Heres my amateur guess: Looks like the original brown bag version 81-95. Chicken and Rice showed up in 1988 and the brown bag stayed till about 1995. So just guessing a 88-95 Chicken and Rice no print MRE. :D

What you have is likely a late 80s to early 90s civilian brown bag MRE.
