Missed opportunities

In light of something stupid I just did, I am wondering about a time when anybody had a chance to buy an interesting ration, but missed the opportunity.

This week I found a set of 3 JSDF rations from the mid 90's at auction. These are the ones in the plastic bag, but have a paper label. I only put in the minimum bid of about $10 US and forgot about it, and the winning bid was $11. :cry:

Oh man... That sucks...
I got a prototype ration wrecked by the mailman... If only I had packaged it with stronger cardboard :(
Well these things happen, you won't forget to bid the next time for sure!

What kind of prototype ration was it?

When I used to use ebay to procure rations I once got sniped in the last 10 seconds for a ration bundle. It happens. After that, I always went straight to "buy now" or contacted the seller for a "buy now" purchase if he/she had several of the item.
