The only issue is that they are right next door to the amusement park, and the weekend of the expo is the busiest weekend for the park. So if you are coming to the meetup, you might want to look into hotels or cabin rentals pretty soon.

Head counts are always tricky. As you never no what will happen tomorrow not to mention several months away in October. I'd expect a decent turn out though, I mentioned it in my FB group and got a pretty decent response with messages. Wait till I make a few announcements through some vids. Should be a good time nonetheless.

Man that's great! So far, from what I have seen, if things don't change I know of at least 35-40 that will be there. The more we get the word out, the more people will be there. I can tell you that other show promoters are going to be watching to see if there is a good turn out and they have already expressed an interest in doing a meetup at their shows next year. One in California and one in Texas.

Just a thought - there are many decent hotels in the area around the event space, if there are enough folks interested in booking a room, a group rate could be had.
the hotel will want to know the group size and how many nights will be booked.
i could compile a list of the nearby hotels if anyone is interested.

Here's a little teaser for you guys. Bring plenty of trade stuff to the meetup. Why? Because for what I believe is the first time ever, there will be a huge stockpile of hard to get international rations available at the meetup. And don't forget about the auction! Need some tax deductions? The charity auction for the ration museum comes with a double benefit. When a ration is auctioned, both the donation of the ration and the purchase of the ration are tax deductible.

And just as Bob says, we can have a good time just hanging out talking and eating some good food!
I wish I could snap my fingers and it be October already - I think about this meetup at least a few times a day and am very excited to see everyone.
