yes i remember the 4 barreled suitcase
il be back (spoken with german acent)
i cant find one in norway,we have never used them in the norwegian army
and in the usa it cost from 100$ to 400$ for a emty one.

Yes the backblast area was very similar to that of a LAW or an AT-4; of course being a medic I was never allowed to play with those things anyway but they sure were cool to see being used at the firing range! It brings to mind the classic Dirty Harry movie "The Enforcer" in the scene where Tyne Daly lingers behind the firing station and Eastwood pulls her out of the way just before the LAW is fired. 3rd degree burns over most of the front of your body if u were "lucky", not to mention the highly toxic fumes of the rocket itself! (my guess is you'd be well cooked before the toxic fumes could bother u).

im a ex 84mm recoiless cannon squad leader and i know it can be HOT
i had a rokie once as a loader and he had hes feet in the blast zone!!!!
his boots melted and boy did he learn not to do again

The M202A1 FLASH was relegated for a while to storage (80's-90's) but it has made a comeback specially in Afghanistan....

You meant this, a ballistic knife??? It was used mostly by the Alpha and Vega ( Vympel or "Dept. V") groups.
- It works more like a SWAT team for anti-terrorist situations.

The ones in the pic are veterans of Spetsgruppa V...

Cool pictures! Actually I recall reading something back in 1992 about the Soviet Union offering to send a Spetsnaz team to rescue our hostages in Iran in exchange for us not interfering in any way with their invasion of Afghanistan---not sure if there is any truth to it though. At the time of Soviet invasion I believe "Spetsnaz" was right up there with "psychic assassination of political dissidents from long range"----existence denied by the Soviets but suspected by some in the west.
